COMPUTER-BASED TESTING / EXAMINATIONS (CBT / CBE)
In response to global trends, educational and examination boards worldwide are increasingly embracing the computer-based method for conducting examinations, tests, and quizzes, commonly known as Computer-Based Testing or CBT. Notably, professional bodies in Nigeria have wholeheartedly adopted this approach for examinations, with other organizations and higher education institutions swiftly following suit.
Moreover, numerous companies are incorporating the same method for their job interview and screening processes at the upper echelons. As a result, examination and job candidates must possess foundational knowledge of utilizing computer applications to actively participate in these assessments.
To adequately prepare our students for these evolving trends, we are organizing CBT Training Sessions. Additionally, we have introduced a CBT Practice Module on our student portal, offering hands-on practical experience for our students. This module enables them to practice CBT exercises even from the comfort of their homes, provided they have an internet-enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Furthermore, we are committed to adopting the computer-based examination approach within our institution, aligning with the contemporary shift towards digital assessment methodologies.
